We'll never be Royals...

Sin título #20

"You can call me queen bee"- Lorde "Royals"

I was daydreaming about who I wanna be in my twenties, and I thought it would be fun to put together my "future bedroom" I want that (hopefully not) little room to be a reflexion of exactly who I am. And this is exactly how it looks like in my mind.

  • Sophisticated black: I like how elegant black looks, but it can also be categorized as a boring color. As you can see I decided to play with textures and experiment with risky designs as the bedside table to make it more fun. More Andrea.
  • Gold feather spray: I fell in love with these, the moment I saw them online. They gave the room a royal vibe. The moment I put these in this room I knew they were setting the direction I wanted this decór post to go.
  • Leather Pillow: Edgy.
  • My royal chair: If this is not the seat of a queen, I do not know what it is. It apparently did not go with my oh-so-sophisticated room, but when I added it, I knew it was going to stay there forever. It is fun and that is who I am. I am not boring nor average. And what is more, I need a faulous chair for my beloved future everyday bag.
  • Mannequin: Hello, my name is Andrea and I am a fashionista. Always have, always will.
  • Chandelier: Everytime I go to a decór shop with my beautiful mom, we always fall head over heels over chandeliers. So my most sophisticated room, needed one like I need air.

Christmas & The City

Christmas Palma

Me and one of my closest friends went for a morning out to explore the best shopping areas in our beautiful home town, Palma de Mallorca. But no morning out will be complete without our very favourite teas- Wild berries for me and iced tee for Marga. If you are in the mood for an amazing tea, Capuccino is your place.

Maybe, it is just me but fewer things in life I love more than a morning out in the city to relax. I love finding new places and carrying my camera with me, so that I can capture everything and bring it to my lovely readers #ILoveYou

This is one of my favourite little corners it has Louis Vuitton and Uterqüe. I personally thing it is a must visit for fashionistas. On out way there, we were talking about how despite being such a little corner it is so incredibly eye catching.

atractivo.

Talking about window displays, this one is from Loewe and could not be more eye catching. We had trouble to take a picture because of the amount of people that stopped in front of it to watch such a piece of artwork. I really loved how they gave the main role to a such little piece like a scarf, just by repeating the dotted print on the main elements of the display.

Here is my beautiful friend, Marga who was my photographer along with her boyfriend. Special thanks to both of you :)

Last but not least I wanted to show you this little but absolutely stunning decòr shop, that has the most stunning unique pieces in this town. When you walk in it you feel the ecclectic mix of different vibes and styles, which for some reason, works together. It was one of our favourite places that we visited yesterday.

Hi Dolls! You know how much I love " The Carrie Diaries" so I decided to bring the 70s-80s spirit to our rooms with some cute decoration ideas! The idea behind this post is the same that Eric Daman ( Costume designer of The Carrie Diaries and Gossip Girl) had bringing those decades to our years: mix and update.

  1. Wall quotes! Those years, to were the years of individualism and showing who you really are with as many colors as possible, so I though that a quote with some artistic font, would be absolutely perfect! Don't you think so?
  2. A little bit of glitter won't hurt , right? I thought of taking the glitter off Carrie dresses and turn it into superglam pillows. TIP: Don't choose crazy colours go for dark ones and silver to bring the sparkliest trend to our days.
  3. Pop Art + Fashion: Look for old school Vogue pictures, print and frame. They have real art pieces in their pages!
  4. Decor with what you have! I am sure you own something vintage looking like a "Diana" camera or some pink old books, put those in your night table to have that Audrey Hepburn wake up moments!
  5. Calling all neon shoes! Ask your mom or your aunt for their  80s pointy yet neon shoes or go and buy a super cheap pair, all we want is to decor! ( and maybe wear them friday nights)
  6. Retro Bag! I am sure you own a satchel or a bag with a bold design that should in a bright little table ( Ikea kids section!)

Building Your Wardrobe - The Basics

Sin título #238

Hi Dolls! This past week, I've been "cooking" this post, since I wanted to bring you the best basics and the best tips...
We all know about the importance of essentials, because they go through seasons and through years so easily. But if you want my honest opinion, I used to think they were absolutely boring and just not fun to go shopping for them, but my mom showed me that basics can be fun, because you have to browse for the one that suits you style. My advice? Go for tailored and not so much for embellished pieces because you can always add a brooch or a trendy necklace when you feel fancy.

As long as clutches go, my best tip is to get small details so that it is more versatile and not that overwhelming for the outfit.
The best everyday bag color to choose is a taupe or tan shade because it goes amazing with black and every other color. It is a neutral tone and that is the type of shade you should go for any basic piece to make it even more versatile than black itself.

Which is your favorite basic piece?
