Feria Náutica: El lugar para buscar marido

Luz tenue, los últimos hits sonando y un desfile sin fin de gente elegantemente vestida te esperan una vez muestres tu preciada entrada. Y digo preciada porque no son entradas que puedas comprar, y si no tienes algún que otro contacto, estás fuera. La cosa iba de VIPs y como yo no me podía perder un sarao de tal alcurnia, ahí que fui.  Realmente es uno de los eventos de año de mi querida roca isla. Que bueno, no vivo en Alpedrete dónde nunca pasa nada, pero esto no es Madrid y nos conocemos todos. Y lo que tiene no vivir en Madrid, es que te acabas encontrando a gente que conoces y no acabáis la fiesta los mismos que la empezáis, eso seguro.

Akward Goodbyes

When we grow up, we are pretty much bombarded with superheroes and their unbelievable adventures. Honestly, I was never a big fan of those, but somehow I still was able to pick the message: Grow up into a Superwoman.

The truth is that, even though "The Joker" itself is not a daily disturbance, I have to deal with a few villains every now and then- mostly men boys. Because let's face it I would never (EVER!) in a million years refer to them as men. Hopefully my blind obsession with bad boys flies away and I find a good gentleman someday when I least expect it. The real deal in here is that you need to be some kind of real life cold queen if you want to protect your heart- or your entire self- from certain jerks that will jump in your way. They, might be immature, stupid and easy to hate, but regrettably they may be charming and drive you crazy as well. So, when a certain lady I know very-very  well, met Ken she fell head over heels for him. He was sweet, not very immature and actually really funny wild. He was not from the same city as she was, but that never mattered to both of them- at the beginning- they pretended to be friends, but they were crazy for each other. Well, there were a few big-headed jokers in this story. Two devilish frenemies- goodness, they are invading us. They pretty much threw a campaign against my beloved friend and since Ken "beach boy" was not as smart as expected, he believed them and slowly walked away- because he claims to be really polite and that's how polite little boys get the hell out. She could not believe what was happening, her friend betrayed her and Ken who over all was a great support, sneaked out of her heart.

Why am I telling you this story? Because the more I grow up, the more I hate people who don't know how to properly say goodbye. They like to be sneaky, just in case the odds may ever be in their favour and they need to make a comeback. That drives me insane, if you want to say goodbye, say it. Do not ignore someone and favourite or RT their tweets, so that they don't hate you too much. To have a clean resumé, just in case they need that person back. To not have too much of a dark story left behind. Well, when it comes to this issues I am as queen-like as it gets, I don't give second chances to the ones who don't deserve it. I am no Mother Theresa. Being kind and honest and valuing your own opinion over the one from others, especially about what/who you like is cheap. So, stop being fake boys, we want real men.

So here it is to the superwoman I know you are, don't believe in someone that doesn't treat you like a treasure. Someone will, as a matter of fact, you should be the one who does it, because maybe some smart boy will be able to read between lines and learn what it takes to be your partner in crime. 

Preppy Haul + Outfit of the Day

I bet you have probably noticed a little bit of a change in what I consider, my little home in the Internet. I am the kind of person that needs certain things in her life, to reflect the stage she is, and those "things" are basically: my hair and my blog. So, I totally needed to do a bit of work in the design, structure and probably the contents as well, but that's another story.

The truth is, that I am having you here today, because I was in need of oxford shirts. So, I went shopping and bought some fun printed ones, even though I told myself I was going to go neutral- I am such a pretty little liar to myself. The moment I saw these two adorable shirts neatly folded and waiting for me, I knew we were meant to be an item.

I bought theses two button-ups at Springfield for 40 Euros and I couldn't wait to go home and see how great they would look with my beloved collection of necklaces. What can I say? I am such a girl!

  I also was having an all-Cinderella day, probably because of Valentine's day, and I purchased this pink, but still neutral nail polish from Catrice at a Müller shop for nearly 3 euros.

Blogger Diaries: Am I Quitting?

 I think sometimes a certain idea just comes to you. It is not necessarily what you want or what you need, but the idea of breaking from everything you have been doing can be tempting.
Well, today I woke up with a pile of homework to do and I thought to myself: "How am I going to update my blog today? I do not have time." And then, for second it crossed my mind the idea of maybe just quitting blogging and youtube. I swear, I have never felt more empty before. I just can't stop doing this, because it is my passion. It sounds chessy, but it truly is the one thing that at the moment I can't think of me without. It is amazing how much a part of me this project has become. I found my place in this world through this blog. I owe to this little space in the Internet so much. It is my home on the go. No matter where life will take me, I can take my home on-the-go.
Me parece que a veces hay ideas que simplemente vienen a ti. No es necesariamente aquello que quieres o lo que necesitas, pero la idea de dejarlo todo y salir corriendo puede ser muy apetecible.
Bueno, hoy me he levantado con una pila de cosas que hacer y que estudiar. Entonces, me he preguntado: "¿Cómo voy a actualizar hoy mi blog? No tengo tiempo..." Y después, por una centésima de segundo he pensado en dejar el blog y YouTube. Nunca me había sentido tan vacía. No puedo parar de hacer algo que es mi pasión. Suena pasteloso, pero, ahora mismo no puedo ni siquiera pensar en no tenerlo. Es increíble lo mucho que ha llegado a formar parte de mí! Creo que este blog, es de alguna manera, mi lugar en el mundo. A este rinconcito le debo mucho. Es mi casa portátil, da igual dónde esté o dónde me lleve la vida. Shine On siempre va a ser mi casa.
I remember counting down the days until the 18th of June 2012, the day I planned on starting my blog. I had a notebook full of ideas for this project. I just knew it was going to be my thing. I never doubt I would fall in love with this. For some reason, I just knew.
Todavía recuerdo contar los días que faltaban para el 18 de Junio de 2012, el día en que empecé mi blog. Tenía un cuaderno absolutamente lleno de ideas para este proyecto. Yo sabía que esto iba a ser lo mío, jamás lo afronté como algo que tenía que probar, sino la oportunidad para hacer todo lo que me gustaba. Simplemente, lo supe.

Edgy State of ...Shoes?

There are few things in live that I am more passionate about than shoes. They can totally complete an outfit and be the unexpected touch an outfit needs. Wether your style is already daring, or you are simply just having an edgy day, I've made my homework and researched for the most daring, but still glamourous pieces I could find.

Hay pocas cosas en esta vida que me despierten tanta pasión como los zapatos. Son el toque que un outfit necesita, para ser memorable. Ya sea tu estilo arriesgado de por si, o simplemente te hayas levantado edgy, he hecho mis deberes y te he traído una selección de los más "in" siguiendo esta línea de estilo, pero sin perder el glamour y el buen gusto.

Entre mi amada colección de zapatos hay 4 pares que me sacan de muchos apuros. Éstos tienen una función un tanto específica y mucha pero que mucha historia...

Among my beloved shoe collection, there a 4 pairs that are such  a lifesaver. It is funny that with time they have, for some reason, been asigned to a certain function and what's more they totally have history...

Este par son los que yo llamo " los zapatos de las presentaciones en clase", no son excesivamente altos, son muy cómodos y van con todo. Son de Hispanitas.
This pair are the so-called " presentation shoes", they are not too high, they are totally comfy and go with any outfit. These hotties are from Hispanitas.

Estos me han sacado de numerosos apuros son los "24/7". Tienen más tacón que los anteriores. Quedan genial con un outfit para salir y son capaces de hacer del conjunto más simple, uno muy de working girl. Yo diría que este par de "Igualados" son casi mágicos.
This "Igualados" pair are my "24/7" ones. They have a higher heel than the last ones and look amazing with a going out outfit as well as a simple day one, to make it more put together for the office. They are almost magical.

Éste es mi par más rebel ( de "Alpe"), y probablemente los que me dieron la idea de este post. Son el par más calentito y cómodo que tengo, y en los días que me apetece ir más desenfada porque tengo muchas cosas que hacer, me acompañan siempre.Son mis zapatos de guerrera.

These are my rebel ones and probably the pair that gave me the idea to write this post. These are the coziest  I own.  In days that I am gravitating towards a more laidback look because I have so much stuff to get done and need to be comfy, they are always my number option. I guess it is safe to say they are my warrior pair.

Soy patosa. Lo reconozco, todas las personas altas somos un poco así. Sin embargo en días de lluvia me vuelvo más torpe de lo normal y no es plan de irse matando por las esquinas, así que mis botas de Tommy Hilfiger son algo así como mi ángel de la guarda en forma de botas.

I am clumsy, really clumsy in fact. Honestly, I feel like all of us too-tall people are a bit like that. But in rainy days I get clumsier, if that is even possible, and since I do not wanna die young my Tommy Hilfiger rain boots are my guardian angels in boot form.

Si fuese diseñadora, que ojalá algún día lo sea, y tuviese que crear una colección de zapatos, mis prioridades serían dos: la versatilidad basada en la comodidad y que cualquier mujer se sintiera "SuperWoman" con ellos puestos. Ese es, para mí, el secreto de la magia de unos zapatos.

If I were designer, hopefully someday I will, and I had to create a shoe collection, my main goals will be: versatility based on its comfortability and that those who get to wear them feel like "WonderWoman", when they put them on. That's the real secret for creating a magical pair of shoes.

Team Shine On Dinner

 Thursday nights can be fun nights out too, specially when you have no class the next day. Me and the newest member of the so called #TeamShineOn, Marcos (@marcosrado) went to have dinner at Foste'r Hollywood. We also brianstormed a couple amazing ideas for "Shine On" and made some exciting plans for the future. Of course we took a few pictures, just to show you my oufit!

 Las salidas nocturnas en jueves son más que una buen idea, especialmente cuando no tienes clase al día siguiente. Yo y mi nuevo miembro del #TeamShineOn, Marcos(@marcosrado)nos fuimos a cenar a Foster's Hollywood. Estuvimos debatiendo sobre posibles planes para "Shine On" y su futuro. Por supuesto que tomamos unas fotos y os la traigo aquí para que veáis mi outfit.
