Blogger Diaries: Am I Quitting?

 I think sometimes a certain idea just comes to you. It is not necessarily what you want or what you need, but the idea of breaking from everything you have been doing can be tempting.
Well, today I woke up with a pile of homework to do and I thought to myself: "How am I going to update my blog today? I do not have time." And then, for second it crossed my mind the idea of maybe just quitting blogging and youtube. I swear, I have never felt more empty before. I just can't stop doing this, because it is my passion. It sounds chessy, but it truly is the one thing that at the moment I can't think of me without. It is amazing how much a part of me this project has become. I found my place in this world through this blog. I owe to this little space in the Internet so much. It is my home on the go. No matter where life will take me, I can take my home on-the-go.
Me parece que a veces hay ideas que simplemente vienen a ti. No es necesariamente aquello que quieres o lo que necesitas, pero la idea de dejarlo todo y salir corriendo puede ser muy apetecible.
Bueno, hoy me he levantado con una pila de cosas que hacer y que estudiar. Entonces, me he preguntado: "¿Cómo voy a actualizar hoy mi blog? No tengo tiempo..." Y después, por una centésima de segundo he pensado en dejar el blog y YouTube. Nunca me había sentido tan vacía. No puedo parar de hacer algo que es mi pasión. Suena pasteloso, pero, ahora mismo no puedo ni siquiera pensar en no tenerlo. Es increíble lo mucho que ha llegado a formar parte de mí! Creo que este blog, es de alguna manera, mi lugar en el mundo. A este rinconcito le debo mucho. Es mi casa portátil, da igual dónde esté o dónde me lleve la vida. Shine On siempre va a ser mi casa.
I remember counting down the days until the 18th of June 2012, the day I planned on starting my blog. I had a notebook full of ideas for this project. I just knew it was going to be my thing. I never doubt I would fall in love with this. For some reason, I just knew.
Todavía recuerdo contar los días que faltaban para el 18 de Junio de 2012, el día en que empecé mi blog. Tenía un cuaderno absolutamente lleno de ideas para este proyecto. Yo sabía que esto iba a ser lo mío, jamás lo afronté como algo que tenía que probar, sino la oportunidad para hacer todo lo que me gustaba. Simplemente, lo supe.

This is my first photshoot for the blog. I couldn't resist showing this one to those who are new, because in these pictures is the essence of why and how all this started. This is my journey, me following my dreams. I think blindly pursuing what I like its my for of rebellion. I don't have another one.

Esta foto, forma parte del primer photoshoot para el blog que hice. No me he podido resistir incluirla, porque todos los que os habéis ido incorporando en el camino, necesitáis ver la esencia de este blog. Simplemente yo, Andrea, persiguiendo mis sueños. Supongo que ir detrás de ellos, a toda prisa y sin ser consciente de lo que me rodea, es mi forma de rebelión. No tengo otra.

Blogger Diaries Ep 3: Exams & Lindrea (Lily + Andrea)

Haven't you heard? Partial exams are invading our agendas and making our lives way less social... This week, my life revolved around Accounting and Statistics. Pretty fun, right? Well, my university life is not that bad thanks to my awesome friends, but I wanted to make a huge shout out to one of my best friends, Lily! She is beyond sweet, caring, kind and gorgeous. In fact, hanging out with her has become one of my favourite hobbies (We will film a video together anytime soon so look for that!)
 Between classes, besides being silly, talking about our huge Lizzie Mcguire obsession, and sun bathing on the bleachers, one of my favourite things to do has been making collages of our mini us. Wanna see an example-or a couple ones-?

¿No lo habéis oído? Los exámenes parciales están invadiendo nuestras agendas y atentando seriamente contra nuestra vida social... Esta semana, mi vida ha tenido como protagonistas al libro de contabilidad y los Power Points de estadística. Suena bien, ¿a que sí? Bueno, mi vida universitaria no es tan terrible gracias a mis maravillosos amigos. Entre ellos hoy me toca destacar a una de mis mejores amigas, Lily. Mi Lily es dulce,cariñosa, se preocupa por mí y además de todo eso es preciosa. Pasar el rato con ella se ha convertido en mi hobby preferido ( grabaremos juntas muy prontito estad atent@s). Entre clase y clase nos las areglamos para pasarlo bomba, hacemos el tonto ( imitaciones incluidas),marujeamos, recordamos nuestra obsesión por Lizzie Mcguire, tomamos el sol en las gradas... Últimamente, uno de mis pasatiempos favoritos ha sido hacer collages con fotos de nuestras versiones minis. ¿Queréis ver un ejemplo de mis obras de arte? ¡Aquí los tenéis!

Bloggin Diaries Ep 1: Inspiration where (the hell) are you?

I swear, there are days that I have a billion ideas coming to me all at the same time, that I can barely keep up and other times I have no clue... Well, today it is one of those days( in fact nights), where my bedroom looks like I have a mission way more difficult than the one and only James Bond!

Juro solemnemente, que hay días que me vienen tantas ideas a la vez que la mano no me da para escribirlas a tiempo, pero hay otras que no fluyen... Bueno pues hoy es uno de esos días, o mejor dicho una de esas noches, en las que en mi habitación hay un dispositivo de inspiración de tal magnitud que, quien lo vea se va a pensar que tengo una doble vida y soy James Bond.

It has been a long day, I have written a couple essays for some scholarships and fashion magazines that I could really fancy if they actually took the time to reply ( very unlikely to happen) Is it just too hard to understand that I want an opportunity? Maybe it is...

Ha sido un largo día.. He escrito un par de ensayos para concursos, becas y revistas de moda que ya se podrían estirar y darle a esta mente inquieta una oportunidad...

Aunque parezca una cosa imposible, todo se consigue y en ello estamos.

And now is that time when I am reading your comments, while my friends are partying and not finding a single good idea to surprise you even more...FAIL! I know I have heard a lot of times from many bloggers, who are way cooler than this nerdy girl listening to Tay Swift at crazy hours, that being a blogger can make serious damage to your social life. Well, let's say it can, but I can tell you from experience that it is not that hard to handle...Even though your blog may become your bf eventually.

Ahora viene mi momento favorito ( ¡ojo al dato!) auquel en el que apruebo y leo vuestros comentarios y me siento una FAILER por no encontrar una idea dignamente sorprendente, sobre la que escribir. Por no mencionar, el dichosos ruidito de whatsApp en el que mis amigos me relatan todo lo que pasa en la fiesta de turno. Como muchas bloggers dicen, más guays que esta nerdy escuchando Taylor Swift a altas horas de la noche, ser blogger puede destruir tu vida social. Bueno, mi experiencia me dice que no es tan grave la cosa, pero que tu blog se puede convertir en un partidazo con el que pasar los Viernes por la noche.

Blogger Diaries: New Series!

Hi Everyone! Those of you who have been following me, already have seen my blogger diaries series, in which I was giving you advice to those of you new in the business. Well that series is going to change its name to: Bloggers Guide. Why? Because "Blogger Diaries" is going to be a series about my life as a new blogger. I promise you, it is going to be beyond fun! I decided to create this new series, because I want you to know me better and interact with you a lot more. ( Tweet me @shineonbyandrea with the hashtag #BloggerDiaries )

¡Hola a todos! Aquellos que me habéis estado siguiendo, desde hace ya un tiempecito, habréis visto una serie de posts llamados "Blogger Diaries" en los que os daba mis consejos, sobre el mundo Blogger. Bueno pues hoy os comunico que esos posts, van a seguir apareciendo en mi blog pero con otro nombre: Bloggers Guide ( Guía para bloggers)
Seguramente, os estaréis preguntando a que se debe este cambio, bueno pues la respuesta es que la serie de posts " Bloggers Diaries" va a tomar otra temática. Os cuento, se va a tratar de una serie de posts en el que os relato como es el día a día de un proyecto de bloguera ( con una mente inquieta)como  yo. ¿Suena divertido, a que sí? Decidí crear esta serie de posts para que me conozcáis un poco más y también para interacturar con vosotros de otra forma. ( Twitteadme en @shineonbyandrea con el hashtag #BloggerDiaries y dadme vuestra opinión)
Cada episodio va a ser diferente. Tendréis a vuestra disposición un nuevo episodio cada Viernes, pero como yo otra cosa no, pero carrete tengo para rato, igual de vez en cuando os sorprendo con más de una actualización semanal.
