What's in my college bag?

  My bag is basically my life. If you ask my best friend Marcos, he will actually tell you that my bags are iconic becuase of its size. But hey, I am 1.80 meters tall, I can't wear a normal size bag during the day, it looks kind of akward and I need a lot of space for my "emergency kit" Here are a couple pictures with what really is in my college bag.
 Mi bolso es mi vida. Si preguntáis a Marcos- uno de mis mejores amigos- os dirá que mis bolsos son todo un icono a estudiar, por su tamaño. Pero, en mi defensa debo decir, que soy un pino andante de 1.80 metros y un bolso de "dimensiones normales", no sólo queda un tanto desproporcionado, sino que no es capaz de salvaguardar mi "kit de emergencias". Aquí tenéis un par de imágenes de lo que realmente se cuece en mi bolso universitario.

Thank you Gaga, it is lovely waking up to your incredibly uplifting new tunes, but no I am not that fab. Trust me. At least not this early in the morning.
I leave in a Mediterranean island. Yes, you can go ahead and picture an amazing day laying at the beach, but not quite this time of the year, because it is so effin' cold in the morning I literally have to run to the kitchen and pray for my body to quickly adapt to not being cuddled in my amazing warm paradise, aka my bed.
Lately, I have been channeling my inner Rachel Zoe and having a Ba-nana for breakfast because it is supposed to help me to focus. Yeah right... Let me tell you something nutritionists out there, I am a daydreamer, I am always out of focus. No banana is going to change that...

At about 7.20 ( yes I do take my lovely time to have beakfast) I go and create a classy outfit ( goodness this  can take me forever sometimes). Get myself all dolled up, just because I have no Dorota to do it for me- hopefully someday I will. And finally at about 8 o'clock I am ready to go to class.

 Meeting my bestie Lily and heading to the library. Don't get your hopes up, because my VIP computer spot at the library will be re-conquered again next semester, shout out to the short black hair do' girl that I have seen twice sitting there. That place was my second home during final exams week last school year. Lucky you that I have fewer classes this semester, enjoy while you can my love.

 After playing human tetris game because the professor was not so sure about how to avoid cheating (Professor, if you are reading this, don't waste your time) we start the feared exam. Honestly, I expected it to be way worse, but those from the other group had it in multiple choice. Are you kidding me? Freaking easy multiple choice cannot be compared with our not so hard but still not easy exam. For those of you who read me and are not yet in college pay attention to what I am going to tell you right now: College is not easy, but with the right professors it can be a way smoother ride. Do your research!

A Preppy College Wardrobe!

You are not the one that wakes up in the morning trying to put together a really good outfit, but inspiration just doesn't come...Today's post is a little guide for those mornings!
No eres la única que se levanta por la mañana con la intención de crear un "outfit" épico, pero la diosa de la moda no la ilumina. ¡Así que me he decidido a darte un par de ideas para esas mañanas sin iluminación divina!

As you can see I layered to pattern pieces  that are going to be the main focus in the outfit. You are allowed to mix patterns, in fact, I made a guide about how to do it a couple months ago click here to check it out! Then added a bit of a camo touch and some classic accesories!
Como puedes ver, he unido dos prendas con print. Este tipo de mezclas están permitidas, de hecho hace unos meses hice una guía sobre como combinar prints. ¡Pincha aquí!He añadido un toque de camuflaje y accesorios muy básicos para acabar de complementar el look. 

 This look is more business formal oriented, so pearls, A-line dress and accesories with a subtle metallic touch and a pop of a jewel tone colour, to be classy avoiding the granny look.
 Este look, está orientado a una ocasión de negocios en un ámbito más formal. Vestido de estilo "A", complementos con toque metálico y para romper la sobriedad, un blazer en un tono "jewel" para darle fuerza al outfit. De esta manera, conseguimos un look clásico (y preppy) evitando evocar el look de las abuelitas yendo a misa ( Ojo! Que yo las adoro, pero no es del todo mi estilo)

Blogger Diaries Ep 3: Exams & Lindrea (Lily + Andrea)

Haven't you heard? Partial exams are invading our agendas and making our lives way less social... This week, my life revolved around Accounting and Statistics. Pretty fun, right? Well, my university life is not that bad thanks to my awesome friends, but I wanted to make a huge shout out to one of my best friends, Lily! She is beyond sweet, caring, kind and gorgeous. In fact, hanging out with her has become one of my favourite hobbies (We will film a video together anytime soon so look for that!)
 Between classes, besides being silly, talking about our huge Lizzie Mcguire obsession, and sun bathing on the bleachers, one of my favourite things to do has been making collages of our mini us. Wanna see an example-or a couple ones-?

¿No lo habéis oído? Los exámenes parciales están invadiendo nuestras agendas y atentando seriamente contra nuestra vida social... Esta semana, mi vida ha tenido como protagonistas al libro de contabilidad y los Power Points de estadística. Suena bien, ¿a que sí? Bueno, mi vida universitaria no es tan terrible gracias a mis maravillosos amigos. Entre ellos hoy me toca destacar a una de mis mejores amigas, Lily. Mi Lily es dulce,cariñosa, se preocupa por mí y además de todo eso es preciosa. Pasar el rato con ella se ha convertido en mi hobby preferido ( grabaremos juntas muy prontito estad atent@s). Entre clase y clase nos las areglamos para pasarlo bomba, hacemos el tonto ( imitaciones incluidas),marujeamos, recordamos nuestra obsesión por Lizzie Mcguire, tomamos el sol en las gradas... If there is something that makes me jealous of those of you who study in the USA, it is sororities, I would totally love being part of one of those...
To make a good impression and boost your confidence for the interview I created the perfect outfit. I loved playing with color to show a bit of my personality as your sisters to be will probably remind you more for your outfit than for your name ( they are meeting a lot of girls like you, so you better make an statement, right?)
Remember 50 shades of Grey? So the trick is doing the same with your favorite color and complement that with a settled print ( nothing to cray cray!)

If there is something I can recommend you to get in one of your mall trips, that would be a fun pair of converse! They go with everything and make you feel like a rockstar!
Another idea I put in this outfit was a survey I read ( somewhere) that guys find more attractive girls with ripped shorts (not a good point enough to wear them!) and since those are comfy and so cute ( Good point!) Let's rock them gurls!

When attending college if there is something your agenda is going to be packed with ( besides assignments!) that is parties! So I put this outfit together with basics: Hot dress, leather jacket, rude pumps.

Girl Talk: Making Friends 101

Hi Dolls! I am planning on starting a new series which is going to be a "Girl Talk" and I am going to be answering your questions about general issues. Do you like the idea?
I am going to be talking from my very own experience, so I think it is good to tell you a little bit about me, before going straight to the tips: I am  a social butterfly, it is just who I am. I love talking to people and making new friends is quite easy for me. I know I am  blessed in that area and that is the main reason why I think it could be interesting  for me to write a post like this one.

• Be a conversation starter: I know if you are shy you would be probably thinking: " Andrea you lost it... it is official" But the truth is that once you start a conversation with someone, you not only appeal more confident to that person, but you will also feel that way. Why? Because you are crossing your own boundaries. Practice makes perfect so do it to someone random and next time will be easier...I promise!
• Ask for advice/help: When it comes to making new friends, asking for help to a shop assistant or for a song to a cute Dj is an easy opportunity.
• Go outside!: You can study and surf in the internet at a coffee shop, which you are more willing to know someone than at home...
• Never ever take it personally!: If someone is not responding to your talk, do not take it personally. In fact, it has nothing to do with you and your awesome social skills, it is probably just a rough day like the ones you personally experience ;)
